At KYN, we believe a home is more than just a place – it's a sanctuary of comfort and belonging. That's why we proudly collaborated with the renowned British interior designer Nina Campbell to weave her magic into our spaces.
Nina's passion for the world of interior design was sparked in her early years, nurtured by her stylish Viennese mother. From a young age, Nina was exposed to the elegance and refinement that defined her taste. Her early passion flourished, leading her to study the History of Art in Paris and train at the prestigious London Inchbald School of Design. From there, her trajectory soared, and her name became synonymous with timeless English interior styling.
Our decision to collaborate with Nina Campbell was a result of a deep recognition that her design philosophy and sensibilities harmonised perfectly with our own. We understood that Nina possessed the unique ability to translate KYN's core ideas into tangible, captivating interiors. Nina's keen eye for elegance, her appreciation of timeless beauty, and her commitment to creating spaces that exude comfort and sophistication resonated with the essence of what KYN represents.
Nina’s process begins with the creation of individualised mood boards for each project, serving as a visual foundation that incorporates every element, from colour palettes to lighting concepts and everything in between. These mood boards evolve through collaborative adjustments with the client, ensuring a complete understanding of the envisioned space. This was particularly crucial in the case of KYN, given the diverse range of rooms with their various functions, leading to the development of three interlinking design schemes.
One of the standout spaces within this collaboration is the 'Eden Room,' a place that beckons with its inviting atmosphere. It is adorned with rich greens and warm shades of yellow and red, drawing inspiration from the Lewis and Wood 'Adam's Eden' wallpaper collection. Complementing this design, the Porta Romana Edith Wall light in Indian Red adds a delightful touch to the lighting scheme, infusing the room with a sense of warmth and comfort.
Beyond aesthetics, the design team conducted thorough research to identify fabrics suitable for care home use, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This careful consideration allows for a seamless blend of functionality and style. Nina Campbell fabrics, Holkar in Aqua, are thoughtfully incorporated into cushions and chair backs, imparting an antique feel to the two Gainsborough chairs in the entrance hall. Furthermore, plain fabrics with diverse textures and captivating colours from Marvic Textiles were selected to grace the numerous sofas and armchairs throughout the residence, adding an extra layer of comfort and elegance.
Every corner of our homes now bears the indelible mark of Nina's discerning eye and impeccable taste. From the striking choice of vibrant fabrics to the artful selection of wallpapers that adorn our walls, every detail has been lovingly and meticulously curated. The result offers our residents more than just a place to stay but a place where cherished memories are created, where stories unfold, and where the true essence of home is lovingly crafted.
