Join us for tea, cake and a chat every second last Friday of the month between 3.00-4.00pm at KYN Bickley's Dementia Café. Kindly find the confirmed dates listed below.
The café is a relaxed informal space for people living with dementia, family, friends and supporters. Our aim is to provide an opportunity to meet local people living with dementia, to share experiences and find companionship.
KYN Bickley’s monthly Dementia Café is hosted by our Dementia Lead, Barry Moss, and provides a safe and supportive space for you to:
- Learn more about living with a diagnosis of dementia
- Find out more about how to live well with dementia
- Think about what it means for the future and how to plan ahead

Dementia Awareness Week
At KYN, we are dedicated to raising awareness and fostering understanding about Alzheimer’s disease and all types of dementia. Through thoughtful events and initiatives, we aim to challenge the stigma surrounding dementia, encourage open conversations, and support individuals, families, and caregivers.
By bringing people together and sharing knowledge, we hope to inspire meaningful actions that create a more compassionate and informed society.
We hold Dementia Awareness Week twice a year, in May and September. Dates are confirmed in March for May week and in June for September week.
